I worked for about a year on a book commissioned by Pen & Sword about women’s lives in Ipswich. It was to cover the years 1850-1950 and due to be published in 2018 to mark the centenary of the extension of the female franchise. Unfortunately, I had a minor stroke in the summer of 2017. I couldn’t finish the work but now that I’m fully recovered I have begun putting some of my material on this website.
There is also lots of info about Ipswich women on the Ipswich Festival Group’s website.
