Land Girls in Suffolk

I have been putting together a list of women who served in the Women's Land Army in Suffolk in the Second World War. The hope is that this database will be used as the basis of an online roll of honour.  So far, I have listed over 700 women - their names, dates and places of birth, where in Suffolk they served and what their duties were.  I have now handed the database over to the Soil Sisters project, hoping that my work will be continued by other volunteers.

Soil Sisters is a collaboration between Suffolk Archives and Nicky Reynolds and Vicky Abbott - both Suffolk gals with many years experience in WLA Living History enactment and research.
